Big Sean Falls Short

Big Sean has come back to the music biz after a fairly long time silent. His new album, I Decided., was an attempt to show the world the new and improved Sean Don. He wanted to prove that he was more than just a single’s artist, only making great singles rather than whole albums. And With support from songs “Bounce Back” and “Moves,” the album does not live up to all the hype that preceded it. Big Sean ends up doing exactly what he wanted to stray from in his fourth album. He attempts to tell a sophisticated story through his rapsĀ but essentially falls short. Sadly, the Detroit rapper failed in his goal to play in the same boat as Kendrick Lamar and J. Cole. I Decided., while not a total failure, keeps Big Sean in the relative background of the rap game.

I give this album a 6.5/10
